About Lauritz.com

For over a century, the name Lauritz has defined our auction house — and it still does today. Ownership has changed over time, and since 2023, Danish entrepreneur Ib Henrik Rønje has been behind Denmark’s largest auction house, Lauritz.com. As the owner of Auktionshuset.com, he acquired the operations of the former Lauritz.com, and aside from continuing to use the name, it is also the same auction houses and staff you meet when selling or buying at auction.

A Modern Auction House

As one of the first auction houses in Denmark to offer online auctions, Lauritz.com has, for nearly 30 years, helped shape the landscape of Danish art and design auctions. Our broad selection spans both modern and older art, furniture, antiques, jewelry, watches, and electronics. You can participate in our daily online auctions — with over 5,000 hammer prices a month — or in our physical auctions, held four times a year, focusing on selected art and design pieces.

In Professional Hands

Our passion is making a wide array of hidden treasures accessible to you — from the affordable to the truly exclusive. This requires deep knowledge of art and market trends, which our professional experts bring with years of experience and a keen ability to identify originality, quality, and great stories. That’s the combination that ensures a good hammer price and meaningful acquisitions that last.

Transparent Pricing

Despite Lauritz.com’s recognizability, we’ve challenged a long-standing industry norm by introducing price transparency. We believe both buyers and sellers should clearly understand the costs associated with buying and selling at auction. That’s why we present all prices including fees and commissions upfront — so the listed price is the final price, just like in a store. Price transparency is unique to Lauritz.com and stands in contrast to the rest of the industry, where fees are often added during or after the auction.

Always Close to You

No matter where you live, we’re close by — with eight auction houses located in Hørsholm, Brøndby, Roskilde, Odense, Vejle, Aarhus, Aalborg, and Bornholm. Our experts are always ready to assess your items and help you submit them for auction. You’re also welcome to visit our showrooms, where upcoming auction items are displayed, giving you the opportunity to see the pieces you plan to bid on in person.

Ownership

Lauritz.com is owned by entrepreneur Ib Henrik Rønje, who is also behind Kongeegen A/S — a company that primarily invests in residential and commercial properties with development potential in and north of Copenhagen. Since 2015, Rønje has been a shareholder in Auktionshuset.com, which he took over in 2022. Auktionshuset.com was founded in 1993 in Hillerød by Ole Steen Christensen as Auktionshuset i Hørsholm. In August 2023, Ib Henrik Rønje expanded by acquiring the operations of the bankrupt Lauritz.com. Today, all eight auction houses are consolidated under Lauritz.com Danmark A/S, with Thomas Friberg serving as Commercial Director since 2024, following his role as CEO at Rungsted Seier Capital. Ib Henrik Rønje is the owner of Lauritz.com.
