Delivery
Different delivery/collection options for your purchase:
1. Parcel delivery by post
You can choose to have smaller items that comply with certain size and weight criteria sent by post.
2. Pick up the lot yourself at the auction house or shipment with an independent transport company
You can choose to collect the item in person or give someone else written permission to do this on your behalf, including a transport company other than one of those we offer. If you collect the item yourself you must remember to bring your purchase receipt and valid photo ID (passport or driving licence). If you send someone else to collect your item on your behalf, in addition to the purchase receipt and their own ID, they must bring a copy of your ID and written authority from you permitting them to collect the item on your behalf. See opening hours and addresses of the auction house where you have won an auction. Please note that you are fully responsible for handling your item on collection.
All agreements about shipping are made directly between you and the transport company of your choice. If you have requested a transport company to collect your lot, you must remember to inform the auction house in which your lot is located. In order to avoid storage fees you must therefore make the auction house aware of the shipping arrangements you have made with the transport company.
Choice of delivery option is important for whether you will be refunded delivery costs when cancelling a purchase
Delivery costs for a cancelled item will only be refunded if you have received the goods delivered by mail and if you use that same company for sending the item back to us. Please also be aware that when a purchase is cancelled, at all times you incur the cost of the return delivery from you to Auktionshuset.com. With option 1 and 2, risk for the item is transferred to you when the item has been delivered. With option 3, risk for the item is transferred to you when the item is collected from Auktionshuset.com.

Responsibility for parcel delivery and shipping
All items sent by parcel delivery, where you pay Auktionshuset.com to organize the delivery are covered by insurance. However, an extra fee for extended insurance coverage can be required for items valued at more than EUR 30,000. If an item has been damaged or lost during transit, you must contact the auction house where you have purchased the item.
If you have paid a transport company to deliver your item, and damages or loss occurs in transit, please contact the transport company directly. We therefore encourage you to familiarize yourself with the transport company's specific terms of carriage.
As a customer you always need to remember to check your item before you accept delivery of the shipment from a transport company. When you sign the delivery receipt before you have inspected the item you lose your opportunity to complain to the transport company if the item is found to have been damaged during transport. Auktionshuset.com always wishes to assist our customers as far as possible, but as we are not responsible for shipping we have no opportunity to help you in any potential dispute with the transport company. We therefore encourage you, as mentioned, to inspect the item before you sign for it on delivery.
Customs duty and import VAT
Please note that special rules apply when importing items across EU borders. A buyer from an EU country will incur customs duty and import VAT when importing a lot purchased in a country outside the EU. The same applies if a customer in a country outside the EU buys a item in a country within the EU. Read more...
Weapons that require a weapons license or permit
Weapons must be collected in person and an appropriate weapons license must be presented or the weapon must be shipped through a transport company approved to transport weapons. An appropriate weapons license must always be provided.
If you do not have habitual residence in Denmark, you may not export the weapon from Denmark yourself, given that you do not possess the required documentation that would let you own the weapon in Denmark. The weapon must be shipped to your country of origin using a carrier that can transport the weapon lawfully.
